The therm a rest neoair xlite air mattress is the best sleeping pad for 80 percent of backpackers at least 80 percent of the time. While it can t compare to a four inch foam mattress in terms of comfort it is by far the most comfortable mattress we tested that is also very lightweight and easy to use. The new therm a rest neoair uberlite is an outstanding ultralight backpacking air mattress. It was among the most comfortable pad we tested and doesn t break the bank or the back.

The thermarest luxury was also very comfortable but this one is the true luxurious campers sleeping mat. This air mattress with memory foam top is the most comfortable i ve tried. Not only does it contain the worlds smallest hair dryer there was apparently some humor in the little battery operated inflation device but it kept him warm when other kids indicated they were cold. Bottom line on this mattress is that it is a great item for cold weather and if the snow ever melts will be wonderful for milder weather camping. It s lightweight durable and it s insulated too.
